Endlich ist auch die deutsche Ausgabe des ersten Buches erhältlich, sowohl für Kindle als auch gedruckt.
Amazon ist ein bisschen langsam, sagt meine Mama, daher ist dort im Moment nur die Kindle-Version zu finden, aber in ein paar Tagen müsste auch das richtige Buch erhältlich sein …
Wenn ihr einfach nach “Miro der Drache” sucht, findet ihr mein Buch auf jeden Fall!

Oh, this is so exciting! Now my book is available as print book and as ebook…um…what is an ebook, by the way?

Oops… / Ups …
Oops…I was so busy I completely forgot to keep you updated! So, on 23th October last year, my print collection was finally released. My own book! It looked so shiny when it arrived! Believe me, I couldn’t stop fluttering around it for ages!
Anyway, my mom has recently been working on a new and cool fan shop for me. I’m sure she will also upload a photo once she gets her new Miro earrings.
Oh, can you keep a secret? She is working on a Miro song! But shht, it’s not yet finished….
I need to leave now but hope to read from you in the meantime!

Ups … ich war so beschäftigt, dass ich glatt vergessen habe, euch auf dem Laufenden zu halten! Also, am 23. Oktober ist mein Buch endlich erschienen (auf Englisch). Mein eigenes Buch! Es sah so glänzend aus, als es gekommen ist! Glaubt mir, ich bin ewig lange um das Buch herumgeflattert!
Na, auf jeden Fall hat meine Mama in letzter Zeit an einem neuen und coolen Fanshop für mich gearbeitet. Ich bin sicher, dass sie auch ein Foto hochladen wird, sobald sie ihre neuen Miro-Ohrringe erhalten hat.
Oh, könnt ihr ein Geheimnis für euch behalten? Sie arbeitet an einem Miro-Lied! Aber psst, es ist noch nicht fertig …
Ich muss jetzt los, aber ich hoffe, in der Zwischenzeit von euch zu lesen!

Proof Copy, the Second
Finally!!!
The second proof copy has arrived, and it looks gorgeous!
Oh, I’m soooo happy right now *smiles* My mom says the book will be released on 30th October as planned, right on her birthday.
Here’s the final cover for you to see:
I can’t wait to see the faces of my friends when I show them…but you have been first! Now I just have to find Botsch somewhere…. I think he said something about being hungry, so I will probably find him near the lake or forest. Guess I can hardly miss him, as big as he is *chuckles*

Proof Copy, the First
Oh wow, you won’t believe this….
My mom actually uploaded the wrong cover file for my book!
Well, she says it isn’t bad because she had to do some changes in the book itself anyway, and we still have enough time left. But still…. I mean, I was sooo excited when the book arrived! And then, she told me, ‘Yeah, I’m sorry, but the cover is not the final version so don’t get too attached to it.’
She says she will have the files corrected pretty soon, and will order the second proof copy as soon as possible. That means I need to wait several days again before I will finally see my book like it will appear in the book stores. But, I’m sooo impatient!
I will let you know when the next proof is here, promised!

Formatting–Check! Cover–Check! YAY!
*flutters up and down*
My book is formatted, and the cover is good to go!!! Oh, I’m so excited, the book is really moving forwards!
My mom says that if the proof turns out okay, my book will be released on October 30 as planned!
*tries to calm down a bit*
All right, breathe, Miro, breathe…. Sorry, I’m just sooooo excited, and just a little bit afraid…. What will all the English speaking children think about me? I’m so glad I have my friends at my side for this huge adventure. I really hope I will get some nice feedback, like I did from German readers. It would make me so much less nervous!
My mom will soon speak to some friends who have promised to help her with promoting my book. This is just awesome! Can you believe it? My stories will be known to so many more children once the English book is out. And my mom has already started to write down more of my adventures for a second book.
Yippeeeh!

Third Set of Illustrations Done and Formatting about to Start
This is getting better and better! *squeals*
My mom’s illustrator has finished the third set of illustrations, and my mom plans on doing the formatting for the first three stories next week. I can’t even tell you just how excited I am! My first English book is coming along well, and we’re already preparing a huge party in Drakonia for the day of its release.
Botsch said that I might get famous…I’m not sure what to think of it, since I’m still pretty shy, but I guess if that means children will read my stories and smile about them, that’s fine with me.
Just wanted to keep you updated. I need to go to school now, we have an extra swimming lesson today….

Sommergewitter / Thunderstorms in Summer
In den letzten Tagen war hier Einiges los. Wir hatten ein paar schlimme Sommergewitter — das hat vielleicht gerummst und gekracht! Die meiste Zeit habe ich deshalb mit Botsch in seiner Höhle verbracht. Wir haben im Eingang gelegen, dem Regen und den Blitzen zugesehen, und einfach geredet. Nächste Woche soll es aber wieder schöneres Wetter geben und wir wollen mit ein paar anderen Klassenkameraden ein paar unbewohnte Höhlen erkunden.

The past days were really exciting. We had a few bad thunderstorms–boy, it was loud! So, I spent most of the time with Botsch, in his cave. We lay in the entrance and watched the rain and lightning, and we just talked. Next week is supposed to be nice weather again, though, and we have planned to explore some empty caves with some of our classmates.

Sommer in Drakonia / Summer in Drakonia
So, hier bin ich wieder. Puh, dieses Englisch ist auf Dauer ganz schön anstrengend … aber ich werde trotzdem versuchen, euch auch auf Englisch zu berichten, was so los war in den letzten Wochen.
Aber zuerst in Deutsch:
Die letzten Wochen waren sehr lustig. Botsch und ich haben das schöne Wetter genossen und jede Menge Quatsch gemacht, wenn unser Lehrer uns nicht sehen konnte. Nur einmal hat er uns erwischt, und wir haben ganz schön Ärger bekommen … er fand es wohl nicht so toll, dass wir uns eine Wasserschlacht geliefert haben, statt aufzupassen. *seufz* Dabei hat es solchen Spaß gemacht! Ein paar unserer Klassenkameraden haben auch mitgemacht, und zur Strafe mussten wir alle nachsitzen. Aber da wir so viele waren, war es nicht ganz so schlimm … *lach*
Ansonsten war eben das Übliche los: Schwimmunterricht, Jagdunterricht, die Geschichte der Drachen, die Geographie Drakonias … aber unser Lehrer hat so komische Andeutungen gemacht; ich glaube, demnächst hat er eine Überraschung für uns. Bin schon ganz gespannt!

All right, now in English….
We had lots of fun during the past weeks, enjoying the nice weather. Every time our teacher didn’t look our way, we were in for some mischief. He caught us only once, and we got into trouble for it…. Guess he wasn’t all that happy with our little water fight while we should have been listening to him. *sigh* Oh well, we had had fun! And some of our classmates had joined us so we were actually quite many in retention. *laugh*
Apart from that, it was only the usual stuff: swimming lessons, hunting lessons, history of dragons, geography of Drankonia…but our teacher hinted something at us; I guess he has a surprise for us coming up. I’m already soooo excited!
Well, I’m off now…some of us want to have another water fight tonight, without getting into trouble *grin*

Second Set of Illustrations Done

The second set of illustrations for my print collection is done, and I’m looking soooo cute!
And…you’ll see my friend Botsch too, but shhht…he doesn’t know yet.
My mom’s finally done with the last translation too so she can start formatting the book now.
Ok, I’ll tell you all the rest in a different post, in both languages, okay?
